The Steidz Celebrates its Anniversary Issue

Offering a new and cutting-edge look at the contemporary creative scene, The Steidz was born ten years ago. Launched as an annual print magazine, the publication quickly grew to embody the riddle hidden in its name – the phonetic translation of ‘stage’ – ultimately becoming a genuine stage, a podium, for emerging talent. With a knack for spotting talent, its founders, Sébastien Maschino and Maxime Gasnier, chose to highlight off-the-radar names, often fresh graduates or young artists, propelled into the limelight thanks to The Steidz’s signature bold and singular aesthetic. Having become also active participants in the creative scene with The Steidz Studio and created a solid community, The Steidz has established itself as a leading voice in the contemporary media and artistic landscape.

This 10th issue illustrates the evolution. It’s an unprecedented anniversary edition, presenting an in-depth commentary on a range of visual themes through interviews, critical essays, exhibitions and favourite discoveries, featuring artists such as Lisa Jahovic, Emmaline Zanelli, Grace Woodcock, Théo Mercier, Jérémy Appert and Pepo Moreno. To celebrate the launch, this past Friday, The Steidz welcomed its readers and partners to a special evening at La Caserne, where guests could have a sneak preview of the issue while dancing to the rhythm of IAMMP and Claude Emmanuelle’s DJ sets.
