“The Solitary One”, Stefano Gallici Perpetuates Ann Demeulemeester’s Legacy
Here is a fine example of how story-telling is inherent in fashion. Building on his autumn-winter collection, ‘ROAD TO NEVER’, Stefano Gallici Stefano Gallici continues to spin his narrative as Ann Demeulemeester’s creative force. Appointed artistic director in 2023, the fashion designer confirms that he is the worthy heir to the Belgian label, and unveils a Spring-Summer collection brimming with the brand’s signature punk and grunge spirit. Aimee L. Nash and Daughter Minotaur’s live performance set the mood, creating an atmosphere of melancholy that lingered as the models walked with confidence and solemnity. The show opened with the brand’s signature dark palette, timidly brightened by delicate touches of pink hues. As the collection unfolded, these glimmers of light grew bolder, first peeking out as subtle details and crisp white shirts hidden beneath layered silhouettes, before finally bursting forth in striking all-white looks.
