The Reiffers Art Center Unveils the Exhibition “Txema Yeste & Numéro”
This Tuesday, May 20th, Numéro marked a new chapter in the history of contemporary photography with the unveiling of an exhibition devoted to acclaimed photographer Txema Yeste. Presented at the Reiffers Art Center, the exhibition “Txema Yeste & Numéro’ pays tribute to the Spanish artist’s work through a selection of over fifty emblematic photographs, while retracing the fifteen years of collaboration and complicity between the photographer, Numéro and its editorial director Babeth Djian. This new exhibition is housed in a venue steeped in history: the Reiffers Art Center, former studio of Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. President of Numéro and Mazarine Group, Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers, wanted to place this new chapter in the venue’s programme, which is resolutely focused on photography and the contemporary art scene. The show runs at the Centre d’Art Reiffers, located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, and is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm.
Many artists, designers and models with close ties to the publication and the photographer were in attendance to pay tribute to Txema Yeste’s talent, including Spanish actress Victoria Abril, artist and composer Pierre de Maere, actress Diane Rouxel, singer Sam Quealy, designers Marie Marot, Vincent Pressiat and Victor Weinsanto, artists Miles Grinberg and Pharaoh Kakudji, and many of the models who work with Numéro, including Lulu Wood, Anyier Anei, Akuol Deng, Divine Mugisha, Mauve Dupuy and Debra Shaw.
