The Presentation of the 2025 LVMH Prize Semi-Finalists
Once again, the LVMH Prize proves the international scope of its quest to find the fashion designers of the future. While over 2300 candidates from all over the world—including, for the first time, entries from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Ghana—applied for the 12th edition of the LVMH Prize, only 20 emerging brands will be competing for the three prizes. Reflecting the changes the industry is experiencing, almost half of the shortlisted labels are primarily focused on menswear. The jury will be particularly looking at brands that have worked on the development of innovative technical systems and demonstrated unique know-how.
Presented on Wednesday, March 5th at the LVMH Headquarters, the semi-finalists for this year’s prize are ALAIN PAUL by Alain Paul, All-In by Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø, Boyedoe by David Boye-Doe Kusi, Francesco Murano by Francesco Murano, Josh Tafoya by Josh Tafoya, KML by Ahmed Hassan, Meruert Tolegen by Meruert Planul-Tolegen, Mfpen by Sigurd Bank, Nicklas Skovgaard by Nicklas Skovgaard, Penultimate by Xiang Gao, Pillings by Ryota Murakami, Renaissance Renaissance by Cynthia Merhej, Sinead O’Dwyer by Sinéad O’Dwyer, Soshiotsuki by Soshi Otsuki, Steve O Smith by Steve O Smith, Tolu Coker by Toly Coker, Torisheju by Torishéju Dumi, Yamsin Mansour by Yasmin Mansour, Young n Sang by Sang Lim Lee and Youngshin Hong, and Zomer by Danial Aitouganov.
