The Palais de Tokyo Unveils an Exciting Program During Paris Art Week

Palais de Tokyo, Paris

This week, the Palais de Tokyo is bustling with activity. Firstly, American curator Naomi Beckwith was given carte blanche with the exhibition “ECHO DELAY REVERB: American Art, Francophone Thoughts”. She explores the impact of French and Francophone culture on contemporary American art, bringing together some sixty major and emerging artists. Secondly, the Palais de Tokyo unveils a retrospective dedicated to American sculptor Melvin Edwards, famous for his abstract works, barbed wire installations, and his series “Lynch Fragments.” Finally, visitors will also discover an abstract mural, an in situ work in the Caroline Kent Reception Area, called “Within the Veil, a Grammar.”

At the opening, we met Guillaume Désanges, Anne Wachsmann-Guigon, Philippe Cottet, Scott Stover and Christopher Coristidis.
