The Kooples Reinvented: A Commitment to the Arts

On October 27, Parisian brand The Kooples inaugurated its new flagship, thus marking the beginning of a new era. Located on the Champs-Élysées, the venue embodies the brand’s new identity and its merger with contemporary art.

The opening night featured the first exhibit of The Kooples Art Prize, an initiative launched in 2022 to promote emerging artists on the international art scene. Led by Emily Marant, alongside art director Marc Beyney-Sonier and curator Thomas Conchou, the jury selected two laureates among the 12 candidates of this first edition: Gaby Sahhar and Kim Farkas. The two artists will be further accompanied and exhibited both at The Kooples’ store and at the MAC VAL, receive a production budget, and have the opportunity to do a residency at Artagon.

The new The Kooples flagship is thus not only a boutique but also an exhibition space, symbolizing the brand’s bond with art and creation. During this double launching evening, one could discover the works of French-Palestinian artist Gaby Sahhar, the first to be exhibited at the venue, as well as, of course, the new winter collection and the venue.
