MCM at Lapérouse is the promise of an evening of daring encounters. The leather goods house, born in Munich and which has experienced a dazzling expansion on the Asian continent, celebrated the launch of its trio of perfumes in the salons of the institution of the Quai des Grands Augustins with its sulphurous history. Just outside the door, it is the atmosphere of a piano bar that draws us to the ground floor with pianist Mattias Mimoun chaining hits, from “Bohemian Rhapsody” to “New York State of Mind”, for the pleasure of all the guests leaning over the bar or making confidences about the red cozy sofas. On the first floor, a radical change of atmosphere: the Gucci Gang girls set fire to the living room with their DJ set with rap and RnB influences from the 2000s. Everyone dances, from Sylvain Lewis to the beautiful Juliette Lamet. To catch your breath, a welcome detour to the top floor where MCM’s sensory journey takes us from Asia to Europe with rooms dedicated to each of the fragrances imagined by Jerome Di Marino, to end on a room covered with mirrors on which the guests, from Louise Ebel to Adeline Rapon, were invited to engrave their names, as we did with diamonds, a reference to the past of Lapérouse’s brothel, today a place of cult evenings.
