Once the palace of the Kings, the Meurice is now better known as the jewel of women. This is why, for the sixth consecutive year, the Hotel de la rue de Rivoli celebrates its queens by dedicating its first date of the year to them: the epiphany.
Around Kerrie Hess, godmother of the event and talented illustrator, personalities, friends and relatives of the establishment gathered to celebrate the wise men around a Galette des Reines full of surprises but also Stéphane Bern, a rare man accepted that day, a scholar of crowned heads obliges…. Hidden as it should be in each of the thirteen layers of frangipane, the precious beans of Meurice gave the winners the opportunity to choose a silk scarf imagined by the above-mentioned designer.
To make the show total and not to forget that Meurice is also a French hotspot of contemporary art, the exhibition of drawings by the Australian artist has been varnished at the same time.
Exhibition open to the public in the Castiglione space of the Hotel Le Meurice, until January 19th.
