The Fourth Edition of The Aigle Experience by Études Studio Draws Inspiration from Brittany
Located near the Canal Saint Martin, in the heart of the 10th arrondissement of Paris, the Loft des Écluses is a remarkable place, and the venue chosen by Aigle to present its latest collection during Men’s Fashion Week. The inspiration behind this selection of gender-neutral pieces is the story of a weekend in Brittany, on the banks of a tumultuous river. The experience begins with this encounter with the sea along the Breton coastline. The watch jacket, an emblematic piece for sailors, is revisited in a contemporary while retaining its ultra-technicality. Made from polyester twill like its matching trousers, this protective ensemble redefines the navy silhouette to adapt it to the city. Rubber, Aigle’s signature material, is also present in the collection, in a soft and waterproof feel. The short jackets stand out for their versatility, MTD culottes seem to take flight and the crackled effects of the fabrics grant the outfits a rocky look. Multi-pocket shorts, safari jackets and utilitarian sleeveless jackets are salt-washed to obtain a look that can blend into any environment. Short-sleeved shirts and wide trousers let the body breathe. Their colours mimic the grey stones of Brittany and their orange-red wild flowers, stand as a reminder of nature’s omnipresence.
Presented amidst an immersive installation, the collection proves that Aigle is capable of delving into its heritage to write a new chapter. During the presentation, we met Alice Moitié, Paul de Saint Sernin, Gaia Weiss, Enfant Précoce, Arone and Yorgo Tloupas.
