The Artmonte-Carlo Gala Dinner at Grimaldi Forum, Monaco
2024 marks the 8th edition of this prestigious contemporary art fair, which is growing in size and reputation every year. Under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and with Charlotte Diwan as its new director, the fair welcomes a selection of 27 internationally renowned galleries, including Almine Rech, Hauser & Wirth, Ward Moretti, and Perrotin, to name but a few. This year’s programme features a special exhibition devoted to the English master of light, William Turner, organised in collaboration with Tate London, as well as an award for the best exhibition presented at the fair: the Prix Artmonte-carlo – F.P.Journe. The winning work will then be purchased and donated to the NMNM (Nouveau Musée National de Monaco), which is hosting exhibitions on Miquel Barceló and Pier Paolo Pasolini. During the inaugural day, which culminated with an exceptional dinner, we had the pleasure of meeting Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Nathalie Obadia, Séverine Waelchli, Georges-Philippe Vallois and many others.
