The Académie des César unveils its 2019 Révélations, from Lily-Rose Depp to Félix Maritaud
The Révélations party is always the first major film event of the year. With the César ceremony approaching, this week the Academy organized its soirée—at the invitation of Alain Terzian, President of the Academy, and Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel’s fashion activities—devoted to new film talents. There were 34 Révélations (17 female and 17 male) this year, all presented at a dinner organized at the Petit Palais, sponsored by Chanel, a partner of the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma. Among the Révélations, Lily-Rose Depp, Diane Rouxel, Félix Maritaud and Shaïn Boumedine were shortlisted to win the coveted César Award for Most Promising Actor. The panel who selected the 34 names included several generations of directors and actors: François Ozon, Gilles Lellouche, Monica Belluci, Kristin Scott Thomas, as well as young talents who have established their names within French cinema such as Adèle Exarchopoulos and Leïla Bekhti.
