Guest of honor at the 32nd edition of the International Festival of Fashion and Photography to be held from April 27 to May 1, 2017 in Hyères, the historic fashion house Schiaparelli received this Wednesday Jean-Pierre Blanc, its director and Pascale Mussard, now president of the association Villa Noailles and who succeeds Didier Grumbach, for the presentation of the jury and nominees. Taking over from Julien Dossena, Bertrand Guyon, director of style at Place Vendôme, will chair the fashion competition jury and will be accompanied in his choice by a very cosmopolitan jury including journalist Sophie Fontanel, actress Melissa George, jewellery designer Sabine Getty and New York photographer Max Vadukul. As for Tim Walker, president for photography and surrounded by Edie Campbell, or Ruth Ansel, he will have the heavy task of deciding between the 10 photographers to be discovered during the collective exhibition in the Villa. New this year, a Prix Fashion accessory Swarovski is born and will be chaired for this first by Pierre Hardy. Isabelle Kontoure (Wallpaper), Laure Hériard-Dubreuil and Alexandra Golovanoff are also members of this inaugural jury. Endowed with 15 000 euros, it puts back in front the accessory, some time left for account of the festival. For the 30 finalists – chosen among a hundred files representing 23 nationalities – who were nominated and whose creations in competition were revealed in the Schiaparelli salons, it is the final straight before 4 days that will undoubtedly change their lives. For all, the anticipation of an edition that will see successive highlights, professional meetings around textiles and fashion and exhibitions, including those devoted to the fashion house, Cocteau or calligrapher Nicolas Ouchenir. They will remain open to the public until 28 May 2017.
