The 20th Anniversary of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation
Monday 5 June 2023 marked the 20th anniversary of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation. To commemorate the occasion, President of the Foundation Serge Toubiana, awarded the Légion d’Honneur to Agnès Sire. A prestigious award in recognition of her exceptional career in photography, notably as director and then artistic director of the Foundation from 2003 to 2022. This celebratory evening also paid an emotional tribute to Martine Franck (1938-2012), photographer and co-founder of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation. Closing the event, Clément Chéroux, Director of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation since December 2022, presented the Foundation’s development prospects – which include the creation of an exclusive circle of patrons. We met Quentin Bajac, Marie Bovo, Raymond Depardon, Diane Dufour, Fannie Escoulen, Eric Franck, Josef Koudelka, Marin Karmitz, Anne Lacoste, Laurent Le Bon, Alice Martin, Sarah Moon, Laurent Pejoux, Mathieu Pernot, Catherine Tsekenis and Patrick Zachmann.
