The 12th Carmignac Foundation Photojournalism Award is granted to Fabiola Ferrero
Every year the Carmignac Photojournalism Award funds the production of an investigative photo reportage on human rights violations in the world. Selected by an international jury, the laureate receives a grant to carry out a field report with the support of the Carmignac Foundation. The grant also finances an itinerant exhibition and the publication of a book. The winner of this year’s 12th edition, Fabiola Ferrero, presents “The wells run dry”. The work of the Venezuelan photographer brings light to an unknown side of her home country, where worlds collide and telescope. The award ceremony took place at the Cordeliers refectory in the 6th arrondissement of Paris and was attended by Ugo Deslandes, Brune Buonomano, Jean Daniel Lorieux, and Anne Racine, among other personalities.
