Talk-show Aperitivo #2 : Xavier Veilhan x Elisabeth Lemercier
The second TALK SHOW APERITIVO by SAYWHO at Caffè Artcurial with Peroni.
Throughout the summer until September, Peroni Nastro Azzuro explores an idealized version of his Aperitivo in collaboration with Caffè Artcurial and his Piedmontese restorer Enrico Einaudi, both in terms of culinary authenticity but also in the content that will enliven this privileged moment for aesthetes. It is within this framework that Saywho was asked to organize”TALK SHOWS APERITIVOS”: cultural meetings between”friends of good artistic family at the time of the Aperitivo.
For this second session, Xavier Veilhan, one of the most emblematic artists of the French contemporary scene, will meet with the architect Elisabeth Lemercier. With her firm Bona-Lemercier, Elisabeth accompanied Xavier in the creation of his workshop. Another fruit of their collaboration gave birth to the Château de Rentilly which houses the second Frac Ile de France. These achievements would not have been so meaningful without their long and faithful friendship of more than 30 years, which had already been expressed in various and sometimes atypical artistic forms.
The session was moderated by Marie Maertens, exhibition curator, journalist (Art Press, Connaissance des Arts) and author (L’Art du marché de l’art, and Louis Vuitton : Art, Mode et Architecture).
