South Korean fashion takes off in Paris with System
For the past thirty years, System has been a staple of South Korean streetwear. To extend its international influence, the brand under the artistic direction of Paik Chung, showed for the first time in Paris in 2019. Launched in 1990, System created a modern, ready-to-wear women’s brand and launched its men’s line in 2008, both success stories. For autumn-winter 2020, the brand headed to the catwalk at the Palais de Tokyo to show its collection to the Parisian cool crowd and international trendsetters (Regina Anikiy, Siobhan Bell, Carlo Sestini) before continuing the party at Tom Greyhound’s.
