Supima Design Lab: A Fashion Show Highlighting International Talents and Cotton
The 6th edition of the Supima Design Lab unfurled its annual fashion carpet to celebrate international talent and their boundless creativity. Held at the magnificent US Embassy in Paris, the event brought together the finalists of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères, the winners of the Supima Design Competition and internationally renowned designers.
Some of the participating designers include Nix Lecourt Mansion, Victor Weinsanto, Julie de Libran, Niccolò Pasqualetti, Jenny Hytönen and Vincent Pressiat. Each silhouette on the catwalk has been created specifically for the Supima Design Lab, and showcases the endless possibilities offered by Supima’s American cotton fabrics. By embracing sustainable design and innovation, Supima has carefully selected these designers to represent the future of fashion through their exemplary practices, innovative approaches and high-end designs.
Over the past 16 years, Supima has built strong relationships with leading design schools across the United States, paving the way for the most talented graduates to showcase their work at the annual Supima Design Competition. Each finalist is assigned the task of designing a capsule collection using Supima cotton. The result of their work will later be revealed at a fashion show at New York Fashion Week. Among this edition’s winners, unveiled on September 7, we find Carla Pierini, winner of the Jury Prize, along with Sahara Clemons, Mariana Espinosa, Hee Jin Hwang, Amber Kuai, Tianze Wu and Alexander Ziemba.
