After announcing the winner of its 2016 edition on September 8 in New York, the Supima Design Competition stopped in Paris for Fashion Week to present the work of Jeffrey Taylor, winner of the 2016 edition and student of the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design, who seduced the jury with his feminine and contemporary work drawing inspiration from Tibetan traditions of femininity.
Established in 2008, this competition offers each year a platform of visibility to the new generation by offering American students the opportunity to present a capsule collection made with the material support of prestigious brands such as Uniqlo or Brooks Brothers.
It was therefore on the occasion of a unique evening, placed under the sign of wide open spaces, that LED walls referred to the beauty of the desert and cotton plants stretching their precious cargo to the sky that Parisian fashion responded to Supima’s invitation.
