Suggesting Femininity at GAUCHERE

Since 2013, Marie-Christine Statz has developed an impeccably tailored wardrobe. A master of cutting, the founder of GAUCHERE focuses on minimalist and sensual pieces, leaving no room for excess. This autumn-winter 23/24 collection, presented for the second consecutive time in the rather modernist atmosphere of the Passage des Jacobins, once again bears witness to the perfect coherence of Statz’s work. Of the 38 khaki, beige and black pieces that make up the collection, some are inspired by an untitled work by the artist Camille Henrot. A collection that perfectly translates GAUCHERE’s vision of femininity: bare backs, midi skirts and sequined dresses suggest rather than impose. The costume ensembles are alternately made of cotton, thick wool and woven satin, worn by either men or women.
