Sting celebrates Amante 1530, the cocktail that embodies the essence of Italian Style
In an enchanting tribute to love, pleasure, and passion, a new aperitif was born from the boundless affection of a group of Italian lifestyle enthusiasts. Its name? Amante 1530, a nectar christened at a lavish soirée held within the luxurious confines of BVLGARI Hotel Roma, nestled within the heart of ‘Il Ristorante’ Niko Romito. The esteemed guest of honor, none other than the iconic international music sensation, Sting, who also played a pivotal role in this remarkable project. The genesis of this extraordinary libation, a tribute to the world of auteur mixology, is nothing short of captivating. It all commenced during a convivial dinner at the Il Palagio estate in the picturesque Tuscan countryside, where Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, together with the creative minds of Ana Rosenstein, Richard Kirshenbaum, Barry Rosenstein, Len Tessler, Stuart Ellman, Sarah Foley, Mark Hauser, and Michael Kassan, dreamt of crafting a modern and innovative bitter aperitif. “We firmly believe that everyone deserves not only a great love but also a great cocktail,” declared Ana Rosenstein, emphasizing the importance of both. The name Amante 1530, chosen for this concoction, holds a profound connection to the place where it all began: the historic estate perched upon the hills overlooking the Arno Valley. It’s said that during a leisurely evening, one of the guests retrieved a Tarot deck from a shelf and drew the Lovers (Amante) card, a serendipitous sign. The number 1530 was added to the name, paying homage to the mansion’s founding year, where this captivating narrative was first woven. Following the grand celebration in Rome, another splendid event graced the canals of Venice, where the true aficionados of mixology convened at the Arts Bar of the St Regis Venice. The Amante 1530 cocktail was also introduced on the grand stages of New York, marking its global presence. At the BVLGARI soirée in Piazza Augusto Imperatore, the illustrious former head barman of the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Walter Bolzonella, conjured three signature cocktails, inspired by the classics of mixology, all in honor of Amante 1530. Amidst the glittering soirée, and alongside a mesmerizing duet with Giordana Angi, Sting graced the occasion with his presence, joined by luminaries such as Trudie Styler, Ana Rosenstein, Riccardo Cotarella, Alessandro Grassi, Joe Resha, Paolo Stella, Eleonora Carisi, Yvonne Sciò, Andrea Caravita, Luca Calvani, Camilla Filippi, and Ludovico Tersigni, among others.
