Signature Mathieu Cesar “Towards infinity and beyond”

A small step forward in the dazzling rise of photographer Mathieu César, who for several years has left his black and white mark on the glossy paper of fashion magazines, adding to the mystery and poetry passage in the confined universe of style editorials.

An aesthetic conquest of time and space, which we find today with delight in “Towards infinity and beyond”, his latest work published by LO/A and compiling some of his most precious works, including this robot woman who became the flagship of the artist’s career. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s apologetic preface, a sort of pygmalion, admirer and friend, says a lot about the power of attraction that Mathieu César’s clichés exert on the FFL (understand French fashion landscape), without jostling this universe codified sometimes too hermetic to new signatures.

Last night, the signature also confirmed that the young photographer had indeed become a choice element of the Parisian microcosm, notably through Iconoclast to whom Mathieu César entrusted the regency of his professional life – or at least part of it. With success. It is also an opportunity to discover the protean variations of his famous Mugler armour, as well as a selection of equally polymorphic creations, from Thomas Lélu’s printed hood to Yiqing Yin’s haute couture dress. Drinks by Peroni. Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful! B.B.
