Santoni’s Anniversary Pays Tribute to The Art of Craftsmanship
To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, Santoni narrates its heritage through a beautiful keyword: Wonder. Meraviglia is the name chosen for the collection, a selection of iconic men’s and women’s styles that embody the brand’s legacy. Pumps, with elongated uppers and rounded toes on sculpted heels, stand out among the female models. The archive lace-ups and double buckle shoes, a signature design by the Marche-based company, have been revisited, among other men’s styles. Meraviglia – Makers of Beauty for 50 Years is also an immersive exhibition including a high-impact photographic series shot by Jack Davison. The pictures portray the artisans with delicacy and respect, highlighting the care that lies behind their every gesture. These images are accompanied by a selection of Objects of Marvel, the artisans’ tools. Arranged on a central table, they witness the artisan’s ability to transform raw materials into objects of timeless beauty. The celebrations opened with a private dinner that brought together Italian and international movie stars and style icons, from Sharon Stone to Miriam Leone, including Kelly Rutherford and Pierfrancesco Favino.
