Roberto Cavalli’s Uncompromising Glamour

Super Studio Maxxi, Milan

Fausto Puglisi once again proves he has a crystal-clear vision of Roberto Cavalli’s femininity. For the spring summer 2026 collection, he makes a definitive choice, guided by a single word: gold. Gold Obsession, the title of the show, is a tribute to the courage to choose and the freedom to follow one’s own path. This golden direction embodies an aesthetic vision where glamour reigns supreme, evident from the very first look: a pleated gold lamé peplum dress. The creative director revisits all the touchstones of Hollywood femininity, from Elizabeth Taylor’s regal Cleopatra to Nan Kempner’s effortless elegance, right through to Jane Birkin at her most effortlessly chic in Saint-Tropez. Fil coupé, devoré, coated lace and liquid jerseys create fluid, sensual silhouettes, while denim—always reimagined experimentally—remains central with flared jeans, flowing shirts and oversized jackets. Trompe-l’œil pleats and dresses encrusted with sparkling embellishments add even more glamour, while the brand’s signature snake coils around sandals, mules, bags and jewellery, celebrating Serpentine, Cavalli’s new fragrance. Among the enthusiastic front-row guests, we spotted Annalisa, Clara Soccini, Elisabetta Panicucci, Miss Keta and Chiara Ferragni.
