The Second Edition of the Dîner des Primo-Romanciers
On November 15th, the Centre national du livre (CNL) hosted the second edition of the Dîner des Primo-Romanciers in partnership with Librairie 7L. This prestigious event, held in the very heart of the Hôtel d’Avejan, on Rue de Verneuil, is dedicated to highlighting the new faces of French literature. The evening was prefaced by a cocktail reception at the 7L Bookshop, founded by Karl Lagerfeld in 1999, and acquired by CHANEL in 2021. It was also an opportunity to meet twelve promising novelists, chosen from the booksellers’ shortlist drawn up by Livres Hebdo magazine. With this event, the CNL and its president, Régine Hatchondo, intend to promote young French writers and encourage solidarity between the generations of new and established writers. This approach aims to provide an environment that fosters and supports learning and mutual inspiration, reinforcing the bonds between authors.
We met Régine Hatchondo, Laurence Delamare, Anne-Florence Schmitt and Véronique Cardi, as well as Bertrand Grébaut, Alix Penent, Julie Heraclès, Antoine Gallimard, Joseph Ghosn, Joana Preiss and Constance Arnoult.
