Léa Seydoux and Two Icons of Italian Music at The Lido
On the Lido red carpet arrives “Silent Friend”, the new competition film by Hungarian director Ildikó Enyedi, who won the Golden Lion in 1997 with On Body and Soul. This time, she tells the story of three characters transformed by the power of plants and nature, a parable suspended between fairy tale and philosophy that brings her fragile, magnetic poetics to the heart of Venice.
The red carpet lit up with an international cast led by a radiant Léa Seydoux. Alongside her were Sylvester Groth, Johannes Hegemann, Enzo Brumm, Luna Wedler, Martin Wuttke, Yun Huang, and Enyedi herself.
But the Festival day did not end with the competition: the Lido also paid tribute to two icons of Italian music with dedicated portraits. Stefano Pistolini presented Francesco de Gregori Nevergreen (at one point, the Roman singer-songwriter even sat among the photographers on the red carpet), while Francesco Fei portrayed the untamable energy of Piero Pelù in Rumore Dentro (Pelù walked the carpet with his little dog). Two icons moving from the stage to the big screen, bringing their personal stories to the lagoon, through memories, music, and rebellion.
