Raphaël Zarka Transforms Maison Liaigre’s Headquarters During Art Paris

Maison Liaigre, Paris

Maison Liaigre has invited Raphaël Zarka to present an exhibition at 77 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Exhibited below the the glass roof of the Maison’s headquarters, his pieces are on view during Art Paris. Reflecting on sciences and art history, Zarka focuses on the migration of forms, their recurring patterns and uses. Using a corpus of existing objects (images, patterns, constructions, structures), he creates collections of sculptures and works on paper, forming links between different eras and disciplines. The exhibition “Suite Serlienne” is bringing together a series of pieces exploring the creative possibilities offered by a single elementary geometric form. Raphaël Zarka’s sculptural and graphic language is rooted in the heritage of conceptual art. In this exhibition, which highlights the artist’s ties with Liaigre, geometry and materials interact with architecture. At the opening, we met Franck Scurti, Mathieu Mercier, Benoît Maire, Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand…
