The Professional Committee of Art Galleries Meet at the Cinéma de l’Arlequin

Cinéma de l'Arlequin, Paris

Since 1947, the Professional Committee of Art Galleries has represented galleries in France and defended their interests with politicians, institutional representatives and administrative authorities. It takes part in the elaboration of art market regulations and contributes to cultural policies that promote the development of the entire sector. The Committee informs and advises its 290 member galleries on the specificities of their status, duties and obligations, and assists them in technical matters. For several years, the Professional Committee of Art Galleries has been involved in major cultural events to build better visibility of art galleries, true partners of artistic creation. It also works to develop the French art scene internationally. Yesterday evening, at the Cinéma de l’Arlequin on Rue de Rennes, new chairman Philippe Charpentier delivered a speech praised by all present. Among them were Magda Danysz, Anne Barrault, Antoine Laurentin, Hervé Loevenbruck, Jocelyn Wolff, Clément Delépine, Guillaume Désanges, Michel Rein and Emmanuel Perrotin…
