The Prizewinners of the 39th International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères

Last Sunday, culminating four days of festivities, the Villa Noailles unveiled the prizewinners of the 39th International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères. Presided by Nicolas Di Felice, Artistic Director of Courrèges, this year’s Fashion jury crowned Dolev Elron. The Israeli designer scooped the Grand Prize of the Jury Première Vision thanks to his menswear collection ‘Casual Turbulence’, a bold new take on denim made using digital tools. He was joined onstage by Belgian designer Romain Bichot, who won both the 19M Métiers d’Arts Prize and the L’Ateliers des Matières Prize. Logan Monroe Goff was awarded the Mercedes-Benz Sustainability Prize, while Tal Maslavi, whose viral Cake Shoes we had already spotted during the festival, received the Jury’s Special Mention.

In the Accessories department, the Grand Prix du Jury was bestowed upon Chinese designer Chiyang Duan, who won over the jury with his experimental glasses. Chaired by Achilles Ion Gabriel, this year’s jury has also rewarded Clara Besnard with the Hermès Fashion Accessories Prize, Maria Nava with the Public Prize – City of Hyères Award, and Camille Combremont, who received the Special Mention. Regarding Photography, President of this year’s jury Coco Capitán handed the 7L Photography Grand Jury Prize to Arhant Shrestha for his series ‘Between Space and Memory’. The American Vintage Photography Prize went to Basile Pelletier, the Public Prize to Clément Boudet, and the Special Mention to Thomas Duffield.

On the programme of this final day, concerts by HERVÉ, Romain Brau and Malik Djoudi, the perfect way to kick off a festive evening, rounded off by Barbara Butch’s DJ set. We crossed paths with Jean-Pierre Blanc, Pascale Mussard, Gabrielle Huguenot, Raya Martigny, Souleymane Bachir Diaw, and Pierre Lungheretti, to name but a few.
