Preview “Dancing Your Life”

“Look at the painting by Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. They use the canvas as I use the scene””. Merce Cunningham.

Paintings, photographs, archive videos and installations make up the 2000 square metres of “Danser sa vie”, the exhibition event imagined by Christine Macel and Emma Lavigne. From the beginning of the century to the present day, we discover a common will in art and dance to sublimate the body in movement. The curators also wanted to confront modern and contemporary art, like a bridge between past and present, like Henri Matisse’s “La Danse”, facing a work by Tino Sehgal.

From 23 November to 2 April 2012, at the Georges Pompidou Centre
