In the Intimacy of Cinema at La Terrasse by Albane
Besides its spectacular red carpets and sumptuous evenings, Cannes Film Festival has more intimate gatherings, the “press junkets”. These privileged moments bring together journalists, directors and actors on the fabulous Terrasse by Albane, the ideal setting for cinephile discussions, where we naturally dive into the very core of the films presented.
This year’s discussion table opened with Pedro Almodóvar’s Strange Way of Life, a film presented in the Official Selection and in its world premiere. This modern western, the second English-language production by the Spanish director, is a blend of intrigue and portraiture of hazardous human relationships. Accompanied by lead actors Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal, the renowned director led the post-screening conversation around his short film.
