The mythical Parisian palace on Avenue Montaigne is expanding and will integrate three new buildings adjacent to the main building. As part of a redevelopment following these works which will last from October 2013 to spring 2014, the management of Plaza Athénée has entrusted the sale of a selection of furniture, works of art, decorative elements and tableware to the auction house Artcurial, shortly after that of Crillon.
At the end of the public exhibition held during the parades from October 4 to 6, and before this small piece of heritage was scattered around the world from the Hotel Marcel Dassault, the auction house invited its most loyal customers to discover the works in situ during a cocktail – in the lobby, the Alain Ducasse restaurant, the bar designed by Patrick Jouin, the Galerie des Gobelin as well as three suites and rooms in the palace.
