“Prada Mode” takes over Maxim’s Paris
After Miami, Hong Kong and London, Prada Mode, the brand’s traveling social club, arrived in Paris to transform iconic French restaurant Maxim’s into a cultural hub of music, dining and conversations. The Italian house took over the legendary 1893 Belle Epoque restaurant for a two-day – and night! – event to kick off Couture week in Paris. AI researcher and professor Kate Crawford and artist and researcher Trevor Paglen revamped the restaurant with their “Making Faces” installation. The installation is a look at the history and future of AI complete with artifacts from the past and the technology of today and tomorrow. By day, conferences and by night, fashion-forward friends from across the globe including Kaia Gerber, Mica Arganaraz, Alexa Chung, Clara Luciani, Camille Charrière, Virginie Efira, Adele Exarchopoulos and more gathered to celebrate the fashion of the future against a backdrop teeming with French history and 19th century flair.
