Pol Taburet Brightens Up Lafayette Anticipations with his latest exhibition, OPERA III: ZOO “The Day of Heaven and Hell”
Pol Taburet’s work takes us into unknown interstices that lie somewhere between the dreamlike and the infernal. As one of the undisputed rising stars of the contemporary art scene, the young artist is now taking another step forward in his career with a first solo exhibition in an institution. Baptized “OPERA III: ZOO “The Day of Heaven and Hell”, this third opus spreads over the exhibition spaces of Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation Galeries Lafayette, entirely transformed into a new ecosystem by Pol Taburet. Its inhabitants are the humanoid figures we know so well, filled with references to art history and mythology. At the launch party, plunging into the depths of this hallucinatory and captivating imaginary world, we met Pol Taburet, Guillaume Houzé, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, Géraldine Breuil, Guillaume Désanges, Laurent Lebon, Xavier Rey, Caroline Bourgeois, Antonia Scintilla, Martin Hatebur and Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers.
