PLAYERS, The New Magazine for Athletes to Express Themselves
Imagined by Vladimir Roitfeld, the first issue of PLAYERS marks the launch of an ambitious new publication at the crossroads of sport, identity and contemporary culture. Much more than a sports magazine, PLAYERS offers an original take on today’s sports figures, focusing less on results and more on the personal stories, pressures and cultural impact of athletes. At a time when athletes have become true icons, the magazine seeks to give a voice to those who are redefining what it means to play, to express oneself and to inspire. This first issue puts the spotlight on international stars as well as new talents, and offers an approach that combines sport with fashion, creativity and social issues. PLAYERS celebrates the ambition, energy and uniqueness of those who are changing the game. At the launch on June 29th, alongside basketball player Jordan Clarkson, we met Carine and Vladimir Roitfeld, Jeanna Krichel, Damnkojo and many others.
