Pharrell and Sarah Andelman Launch “Just Phriends” Sale on Joopiter
On Monday evening, there was quite a crowd gathered outside a gallery on Avenue Matignon. This was no ordinary exhibition opening, however, but a preview of “Just Phriends”, a selection of works curated by Pharrell Williams and Sarah Andelman that will soon be for sale on the Joopiter platform. Founded by Pharrell, this digital auction operator donates the entirety of its profits to associations such as Black Ambition, which supports African-American entrepreneurs in need of funds to carry out their projects. Works from the artist’s personal collection, as well as creations by MSCHF, Takashi Murakami, Xavier Veilhan and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, can be discovered until June 24 at 8 avenue Matignon…. Organised with the sponsorship of Evian water and Belvedere, the opening night attracted celebrities including Harry Nuriev, Futura, Laurent Grasso, François Sarkozy, Beck, Pusha T, Charaf Tajer, Jeremy Scott, Quavo, Caro Daur and Mira Mikati.
