Pharrell and Nigo Team Up for Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

At the Louvre, Paris Men’s Fashion Week kicked off with a wistful show by Louis Vuitton. Pharrell reunited with Kenzo’s artistic director and lifelong friend Nigo for a special celebration of their friendship. Called “Remember the Future”, the collection delves into their respective archives to create a wardrobe that blends streetwear with the Maison’s signature preppy style.

The pair, who already worked together in the past, brought colorful, textured looks to the catwalk thanks to a skilful blend of styles. The collection featured Japanese inspirations with Boro denim often spotted in Kenzo’s wardrobe, a new sneaker model, retro-looking bomber jackets and a range of accessories featuring the Millionaires Glasses, their very first collaboration back in 2008. As for music, the models walked along several songs, including Timeless by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, produced by Pharrell, as a nod to the evening’s theme, and LV Bag by Don Toliver and J-Hope.

For the grand finale, massive white blocks on the runway were lit up, revealing archive pieces that will be auctioned off this Friday, January 24th. Nostalgic yet contemporary, the show was a true fashion masterclass brought to us by two industry veterans. A fine inauguration of a Fashion Week that is looking very promising!

Among the prestigious guests in the Louvre’s courtyard, we met Travis Scott, J-Hope, Gong Yoo, Takashi Murakami, Adrien Brody, BamBam, Jackson Wang, Omar Sy, Rauw Alejandro, Callum Turner and many others.
