Persol TypeWriter Collection Overview

Persol, symbol of the Italian way of life, continues his journey through the design of the past and invites you to discover his TYPEWRITER collection, inspired by the mythical typewriters that progress has made disappear to give way to eminently more unsightly technological objects: computers.

For a week, the transalpine spectacle manufacturer literally transforms the 0fr gallery. into a reading room with design invoices. The shock!!! The back room of the bookstore, usually a single-column event receptacle, is transformed for the occasion into a cozy living room in which Serge Mouille illuminates with all his arms Richard Gaitet’s literary selection (among others), set on shelves of raw wood.

This installation could have lived only one evening (that of the cocktail presentation), but not: it will be to be enjoyed until February 15th, punctuated by a literary program imagined in collaboration with the above-mentioned journalist and writer. Two high points, open to the public, should be noted in your diaries:

Thursday 12 February from 18h00 to 20h00 // Conference debate //”The Bret Easton Ellis generation: imperial suite?” Hosted by Richard Gaitet and attended by Frédéric Beigbeder, Julien Blanc-Gras and Laurent Binet

Saturday 14 February from 17h // Workshop // Introduction to short story writing with Laure Limongi
