Perrotin and Zadig & Voltaire team up for the party of the season
The fall season is off to a great start at Perrotin! On September 3, the gallery presented three new exhibitions dedicated to Gahee Park, Lars von Trier and John Henderson in their space on rue de Turenne. The following day, Emmanuel Perrotin invited friends and art world professionals to 8 Avenue Matignon, where he inaugurated a new five-story space dedicated to the secondary market in partnership with Tom-David Bastok and Dylan Lessel. The gallery presented an inaugural exhibition featuring a wide variety of artists: Maurizio Cattelan, Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein, Georges Mathieu or Ugo Rondinone, and many others. In the next room, Emmanuel Perrotin gave Takashi Murakami carte blanche to take over the artistic direction of a group exhibition of Japanese artists working with ceramics. Far from ending with the opening, the evening continued in the grand salons of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild for a big party. For the occasion, Perrotin had teamed up with Zadig & Voltaire (and came out with a celebratory T-Shirt!) to create the party you wouldn’t want to miss. Welcomed by the sound of Max Sokolinski’s guitar, the guests then gathered in the basement of the mansion to dance to the rhythm of DJ sets by Bon Entendeur, Amstra and Samuel Boutruche. Art is something to celebrate!
