Opening Show – PARURE ANIMALE Exhibition at the Subra Woolworth Gallery

From June 6th to July 5th, the Subra Woolworth gallery is home to an exhibition of antique jewellery dedicated to animals, where Chloé Valorso is also displaying her contemporary creations. For her first exhibition with the gallery, Chloé Valorso presents a selection of jewellery/sculptures that pay homage to animals. The exhibition features pieces from the 1850s to the 1950s and 1960s, including a selection by Line Vautrin, and jewellery from the 70s and 80s by Pomellato, Fred and Zolotas. It is a tribute to animals in the history of jewellery, from its most realistic to the most stylized representations. It also puts the spotlight on remarkable old techniques, which, depending on the period, favour gold set with precious stones, silver or enamel.

At this exhibition, we met Chloé Valorso, Mae and Lou Woolworth, Edward Mitterrand, Vanessa Bellugeon, Jean-Jacques Picard, Diane Pernet and many others.
