Paris Photo Showcases the Best of Photography at the Grand Palais
On Wednesday evening, the Grand Palais hosted the opening of the 28th edition of Paris Photo. As every year, this major event brings together professionals and enthusiasts alike around a curated selection of photography, featuring outstanding works from the origins of the medium to the present day. This 28th edition welcomes over 230 exhibitors (including galleries and publishers) from some thirty countries, with a rich programme of talks, conferences, signings, exhibitions and award ceremonies. Among the highlights is the Elles x Paris Photo exhibition, dedicated to women artists. Organised into several sections (Principal, Voices, Émergence, Digital and Éditions) the fair offers a sweeping overview of contemporary photographic creation in all its diversity. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet artists and perhaps discover the perfect photograph to adorn your own walls.
At the opening, we met VuTheara Kham, winner of the ‘Night Shot’ and ‘Colours & Shade’ categories of the Huawei Xmage Awards, alongside Andres Serrano, Guillaume Piens, Michele Lamy, Alain Kramer, Joël Andrianomearisoa, Nathalie Obadia, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Catherine Baba, and Hugo Marchand, to name but a few.
