Kiddy Smile takes to the stage for the 350th anniversary of the Paris Opera

Is there anything like a Paris Opera gala? To celebrate its 350th anniversary, on May 8th, the Paris Opera hosted an extraordinary evening, starting with the world’s greatest soprano. Anna Netrebko performed iconic arias, with tenor Yusif Eyvazov and the Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris, conducted by Lorenzo Viotti. An exceptional dinner followed: the elaborate meal—for nearly 800 people!—was prepared by starred chef Eric Frechon. Those who did not receive a lucky dinner invitation could still attend the “Bal Shocking,” a first-time event! Same place, completely different atmosphere: star DJ Kiddy Smile set the stage on fire with his troop of vogueurs, dressed by Schiaparelli (who sponsored the gala, as well as Rolex, the exclusive watch of the Paris Opera). From the grand staircase to the stage, the venue became a one-night dance floor, drawing party people Hamish Bowles (International Editor-at-Large for Vogue), Haider Ackermann, Aymeline Valade, Claire Laffut, and Kristina Bazan and Fiona Zanetti.
