Opening Season Gala of the Paris Opera Ballet

Conceived as an exceptional evening by Stéphane Lissner, Director of the Opéra national de Paris, the Opening Gala marked the launch of the 2015/2016 choreographic season by bringing together its artists: the Ballet, the Dance School and the Orchestra, under the direction of Benjamin Millepied, Director of Dance and Philippe Jordan, Music Director.

An artistic program that multiplies the surprises with in particular”Clear, Loud, Bright, Forward”, the new creation of Millepied to music by Nico Muhly and costumes by Iris van Herpen, but also a new version of the Opera Ballet’s Parade on the”Entrée des invités”, taken from Richard Wagner’s Tannhäuser.

Cascade of flowers in the living rooms of Garnier, to welcome the guests of this event never seen before Place de l’Opéra. Cocktail, performance, dinner, and finally after-party: the evening was intended to be global and exhaustive, with the support of Dior Parfums and the Grisogono house, without forgetting the army of other major donors who work more or less discreetly to benefit the Ballet’s activities.

Focus on the last part of this great event scenographed by André Saraiva and Alexandre de Betak, with live candlestick holders and dance floor. A night opera that was performed in secret in the Rotonde des Abonnés.
