Opening of the Pier Paolo Calzolari’Ensemble’ exhibition
With”Ensemble”, Pier Polo Calzolari’s second exhibition at the kamel mennour gallery, the emblematic figure of Arte Povera reactivates his quest for passages, vibrations, first configurations by carrying out several telescopings. Between present and past, first, with several of his works dating from 1968 to 2015, but also telescoping with Kazimir Malevitch and Suprematism, artistic reconstruction initiated by”O,10″, the mythical 1915 exhibition in St Petersburg. Freed from any obligation of representation, the Russian artist presented his”Black Square” by affirming that”to create means to live, to produce perpetually new things”.
More surprising than it seems, the opening of the exhibition continued at Le Derrière with the gallery owner’s friends and the wildest images in mind. Chance? We don’t think… Review.
