Opening of the exhibition “Hats! Tribute to Robert Filliou”

For its ninth experience, La vitrine am invites the Time Art Gallery Greubel Forsey to invest its space for reflection around the notion of reduced scale and nomadism in contemporary art. Born from the meeting between Raphael Cuir, curator of the exhibition, and Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey, founders of the fine watchmaking house Greubel Forsey, the exhibition pays homage to the concept of the Galerie Légitime conceived by Robert Filliou in 1962.

Hats! freely brings together a choice of 14 artists of a claimed diversity, largely mixing genres, practices, generations – historical figures (such as Ben, Yoko Ono, ORLAN) – to emerging artists (such as Yasmin Jahan Nupur or Tracey Snelling) – in order to propose a plurality of approaches that reflect, to its measure, that of contemporary art, in a scenography by JAKOB + MACFARLANE.
