Man Ray, Erwin Blumenfeld, Guy Bourdin, and more recently David Sims, Inez & Vinoodh, Mario Sorrenti: so many iconic names in fashion photography, who have built their myth in the pages of Conde Nast magazines. And especially in Vogue, which for almost a century has been working to highlight the young prodigies of the objective.
The Galliera Museum, which devotes to the press group an exhibition entitled’Glossy Paper’, drew from the archives of Condé Nast New York, Paris, Milan and London, to collect 150 prints, most of them original. A great opportunity to rediscover the work of eighty photographers at the beginning of their careers, and to take advantage of the PFW to varnish the course, in the company of the magazine’s relatives and collaborators.
