Opening of the exhibition “Chercher le garçon” at MAC VAL

For the first major programming event of the year of its 10th anniversary, the MAC VAL – Musée d’art contemporain du Val-de-Marne presents a multidisciplinary thematic exhibition.

What defines masculinity today? And how can alternatives be proposed to the dominant male figure in patriarchal society? To answer these questions, the curator Frank Lamy invites more than a hundred male artists, as many avenues of reflection around the cultural models of male representation… enough to bring down certain preconceived ideas, as tenacious as they are fragile.
