Opening cocktail of the ASVOFF 6 festival

ASVOFF 6th edition was held this weekend at the Centre Pompidou, which hosts for the third consecutive year the travelling selection of Diane Pernet, founder of the festival and avant-garde fashion activist.

This year more than ever, fashion and cinema are one and the same thanks to a wise jury, chaired by Michele Lamy, rewarding different categories of short films mixing emerging artists and big names. The 2013 prize list, with universes as wide as the number of its contenders:

Grand Prize for Holi Holy – a Manish Arora film directed by Bharat Sikka, also awarded for the best soundtrack by the singer Bishi – which literally takes away the whole series of contemplative images of a millennium India so dear to the fashion designer-, and the talent prize is emerging for this same director.

Matt Lambert won the award for best direction and best styling with his film for “BFC London collections : Men FW13”, sublimated by the fantasized imagery of an England full of rock and hooligans. https://vimeo.com/76883881)

Ellen von Unwerth was awarded the Beauty Prize for her supercharged making-of entitled Sister Act and directed for Vs. Magazine.

Recipient of the best ad: Lernest and Sander for We and Claes Iversen try to put the thread in the needle, while Zillions from Malcom Venville for Nowness is elected best documentary.

The awards ceremony, hosted by actor Julien Landais, was followed by a cocktail by Peroni, again at the Centre Pompidou.
