Odile d’Oultremont wins the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas 2018

For 11 years now, the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas has promoted women’s literature by rewarding a novel written by a woman. While Oriane Jeancourt Galignani won the prize last year, Odile d’Oultremont was chosen by the jury last night for her first book “Les Déraisons”. This year’s jury was presided by novelist Amélie Nothomb, who attended the award ceremony in the emblematic brasserie on Boulevard Montparnasse. The much-awaited event did not fail to gather the elite of the Parisian literary and cultural sphere. Like Agnès Varda, who received the Académie des Lilas award for her entire career. As usual, the festive spirit was there and the guests (Nathalie Rykiel, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor) quickly filled the space before gathering around the stage for the long-awaited award ceremony.
