Nine young painters electrify the opening of the Pernod Ricard Foundation

The Pernod Ricard Foundation, a platform for supporting artists, has the same ambition since its creation in 1998: to promote the young contemporary scene in France and around the world, with a pioneering and audacious program. Its director Colette Barbier likes to recall that the Foundation has presented more than 1,000 artists, invited by 250 curators in 150 exhibitions, making it one of the most ambitious programs in the sector. For this edition, entitled “Between your eyes and the images I see in them”, in their paintings, nine young painters assume their emotions and their pleasures, their desires and their claims, carried by a humanity devoid of cynicism. Their names are Jean Claracq, Cecilia Granara, Myriam Haddad, Simon Martin, Christine Safa, Apolonia Sokol, Madeleine Roger-Lacan, Nathanaëlle Herbelin, and Elené Shaberashvili. The point in common of these new talents: the organic and fluid relationships they have with each other. They embody a new generation that Jennifer Flay, Jean Philippe Delhomme, Frank Elbaz or Alice Grenier Nebout came to admire.
