
Moschino Serves Eyewear with Style
To kick off Milan Men’s Fashion Week, Moschino hosted a special lunch for friends of the brand, topped off by an exclusive preview of its latest sunglasses collection, manufactured by Safilo. The event was held at the boutique at Via della Spiga 26, which had been transformed to evoke the atmosphere of a classic Italian “trattoria”, set up with the typical pop approach of the brand. A single long table covered with a traditional red and white checked tablecloth had been beautifully laid and decorated with vegetable centrepieces, paired with straw and red wood chairs. Certainly, Trattoria Moschino cannot miss live music, sung in Italian, of course. In this special setting, guests could indulge in a bespoke menu in line with the event, curated by the most appropriate chef, Marco Assaggia, who defines his cuisine as surrealist and irreverent. The saffron risotto was the highlight of the menu, decorated with the Smiley, one of the brand’s identifying motifs. Guests could also try on the new frames, including an oversized acetate pilot style for women and two metal designs with bold temples, a masculine one with rectangular lenses and a unisex one with oval lenses.
